The Tsunami and the Yellow Dog

Ok, another story of a heroic dog saving his lived ones! Blogathon is winding down with only an hour and a half left!

On with our story.

When you have to make a hard choice you're always left feeling a bit down, but when that choice is which of your children you will save it feels like theres no hope at all. That’s what happened for Sangeeta when a Tsunami hit her house on the shore. With only 2 arms and 3 children she took the youngest and called to her 7 year old son Dinakaran. Dinakaran however, did not follow his mother and instead ran into his home for safety from the giant wave. His mother escaped up a hill with the waves lashing her heels and watched her son disappear into the water.

But Dinakaran wasn’t the only member of the family to stay behind, Selvakumar the family dog barely made it into their home behind the boy. His persistant tugging and nipping directed the boy out and to safety with his mother and siblings.

No one had any idea this yellow pooch would save their family, but across the globe dogs put their own lives aside to help rescue their loved ones.

You can read the story here for all the nitty grittys.
